Relapse prevention is a voluntary organisation of addicts and alcoholics that have been through the harrowing experience of substance abuse, addiction and ongoing relapse. Our aim is to offer direction that enables individuals to permanently break free from addiction and to lead a life in recovery, free from the torments of abuse. The cycle of recovery is a different for each person and that is why we have designed a system for asking questions and finding community answers and for forming an addiction path into something that suits you in a non-confrontational format. Relapse Prevention has changed the game by making sustained addiction recovery available to everyone. By understanding the root causes of the relapse and the triggers that preceded each event we enable the adjustment in sober behaviours that will create the resilience required to prevent future relapses. One on one therapy combined with focused groups are part of the fundamental components to understanding and dealing with the underlying traumas and behaviours that drive relapses and ongoing addiction. We welcome new members and let them attend meetings. Members working the program share items of their experience and insights into recovery tools that work for them that week and identify pitfalls. Groups reflect on experiences assist and document key findings and make suggestions on improving recovery tactics and group sessions. While the relapse process may even begin weeks before an actual relapse identifying the warning signs and speaking to the right people can deter these sometimes catastrophic events. Relapse prevention is a service for individuals or families of individuals suffering from addiction related problems and needing unbiased support in long-term recovery. Relapse Prevention offers viable long-term addiction treatment solutions to fit your lifestyle. We provide the support via the volunteer community in recovery. We provide our patients with the knowledge and tools required to deal with life on life’s terms, clean and sober, one day at a time. It is our addiction recovery philosophy is to promote the healing of the mind, body and spirit, treating all our patients with the respect they deserve. The group offers a range of programmes including: primary care rehabs; tertiary care rehabs; and outpatient programmes; an adolescent programme; a of course the relapse prevention programme and with family support groups. Accredited recovery professionals and counsellors manage all our rehab facilities. The adolescent programme provides an opportunity for struggling adolescents to be a part of a community of peers who are experiencing similar issues. In addition, the programme allows the adolescent to evaluate and address his or her identity and self-worth. Parental guidance and involvement from an integral aspect of the Adolescent Programme. Relapse Prevention offers a residential rehab treatment programms, providing our patients with an environment for safe detoxification and long term addiction rehabilitation. Each patient receives a complete medical examination and comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, which provides the basis for an individual specific addiction treatment plan. Secondary Care is a residential treatment environment, which allows individuals additional time to deal with their addiction and underlying or related disorders. It is within the context of this very general plan that we personalize each clients’ addiction treatment.
