The Flight Centre Associates team consists of experienced individuals who are dedicated to their clients.Our independent travel consultants have at least 10 years industry experience and a lifetime of personal travel experiences to draw from. Esnel Smit, who has worked in the travel industry for more than 15 years, joined Flight Centre’s River Square branch in Esnel has received many accolades throughout the years, and has also attended the Flight Centre Global Ball. She is well travelled and has ticked the following destinations off her bucket list: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Dubai, France, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, Reunion, Mauritius, Kenya and Zambia. Heidi has been to the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Thailand and Mauritius, and she’s also travelled extensively around South Africa. She has worked at Flight Centre for many years, including a two-year stint in the UK. She specialises in travel to Indian Ocean islands, Thailand, the USA and the creation of tailor-made packages. Over the past 10 years at Flight Centre, Madelein Myburgh has worked with the Gardens and Musgrave Centre teams, and led the Amanzimtoti store, which received four consecutive local newspaper awards for being the best business to deal with and Flight Centre’s national customer service award. Personally, she’s also received a number of service excellence awards. Madelein’s speciality is island holidays, with a particular focus on honeymoon bookings and family holidays to exotic islands. She has travelled to London, Dubai, the Maldives and Mauritius. Melissa Sevitili’s Flight Centre career started in 2009, at the Galleria branch in Amanzimtoti, and she’s been team leader there for the past two years. She’s travelled extensively in the UK, Israel, Egypt, Mauritius and Thailand, and specialises in both local and international travel. Although she only joined Flight Centre in 2015, Paula Daniels brought 16 years of experience in the travel industry. Paula has travelled to a number of international destinations, including the US, China, Europe, Australia, Egypt, Thailand and London. Prior to joining Flight Centre in 2011, Taryn Terblanche had the opportunity to see the world while working on board the yachts of Seabourn, a small-ship luxury cruising company. Most of these trips she went on were incentives, and she believes that she may have never had the opportunity to experience them without Flight Centre. As a result she enjoys forwarding the same opportunity to travel the world to her clients. She believes in never wasting a moment on regrets, and to always be prepared for plan B when things do not go according to plan A. Tiffany Beck began her career in the hospitality industry 11 years ago, working in hotels throughout South Africa. Before she joined Flight Centre in 2003, Vicky Gessner travelled the world for seven years and lived in or visited the following destinations: the US, Hawaii, Bahamas, Mexico, Argentina, London, Ireland, Belgium, Spain (she speaks some Spanish), Ibiza, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Namibia, Mozambique, Mauritius, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
