Established in 1987, Seaclad Maritime specialises in ships agency, owners/charterers representation, cargo operations and general husbandry. The main reason for our success has been the wide range of shipping experience brought to all projects by working directors and operational staff. Our directors have years’ of practical experience in both liner and non-liner agency representation, and provide ship owners, shippers and importers with the highest levels of personal service and attention. Our head office is strategically situated in Durban, the busiest port on the continent. Offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, together with representation in other centres, has created a network which enables Seaclad Maritime to effectively cover the whole of the South African market. We also have a network of appointed agents in countries to the north of South Africa. Non-Liner We represent a wide range of global principals in non-liner activities. By actively communicating with shipping lines, local carriers, port agents and others, we can ensure the efficient movement of your shipments and air cargo. We also take on the responsibility for the safe delivery of time-critical goods, as well as issuing bills of lading. Transport & Logistics We can offer fully integrated logistic solutions, involving shipping and transport by road or rail. Our tacking systems control and track your goods every step of the way, whether in transit or in storage. Our experts can also act on your behalf to facilitate the road or trail transit of full and empty containers within, and across, borders. Ships Husbandry A vessel may require much more than basic ship agency services when in port. We can provide professional husbandry services at ports and terminals around the world. We have excellent relations with suppliers, and port and immigration authorities, so we can ensure our clients receive preferential treatment. We can also undertake specialist operations, such as arranging escorts, handling construction work and providing heavy lift cranes. For complex operations, we can arrange feasibility studies, site surveys and route maps.
