A brief overview of our recent matters: 2012 was a significant year for Nortons Inc., having been involved in a number of high-profile and precedent-setting matters across a range of disciplines. From a public interest perspective, the firm participated in some of the leading public interest cases in South Africa, including the challenge to the refusal to grant the Dalai Lama a visa to visit South Africa. The firm is currently acting for Sasol Polymers in relation to two excessive-pricing complaints. The matter is expected to become the leading case on excessive pricing in South Africa.
