the noize dept is an one stop shop for all your location sound recording and playback requirements, since opening in November 2006, because sound is important to us and we want to add a splash of quality to your productions. We specialise in high end quality audio equipment rentals, catering for film and video location recording and arrange Audio Recordists along with our gear, offering complete sound solutions. Audio Engineer Tony Honeybun specializes in location sound recording of film based commercials but we also supply equipment and Audio Recordist freelancers for all location sound recording, including playback for music videos. Our quality sound equipment selection is based on the latest technology as well as Audio Engineer Tony Honeybun’s more than twenty years hands on experience in film and video location recording, inclusive of his more than ten years of final mix in Post Production. Market research is conducted on an ongoing basis, resulting in our audio kits suiting the vast majority of location recording requirements. The noize dept specialises in location sound recording of all types of productions i.e. We arrange our specialised audio equipment kits along with Audio Engineer Tony Honeybun, Audio Recordist Jared Davis and freelancers, depending on their availability. the noize dept will continue to strive to offer you quality sound solutions for your productions. We also arranges freelance Playback Operators along with PA gear for playback and music videos. We have not touched base since coming back from our end of December break. Our freelancer bookings have definitely picked up and we are so very grateful for bookings for these sound recordists. It is almost unbelievable that 2010 is nearing the end so rapidly and most production and crew heading off to well deserved rest! 2010 saw an increase in sound work, since the 2008/2009 recession. We will not give up on our passionate endeavour in supplying our customers with quality sound gear along with quality location audio recordists whom are familiar with our gear. Audio Engineer Tony Honeybun is constantly researching the latest in sound developments, locally and internationally, not because he has to, but because it is what he enjoys doing! This short film premiered at Nu-Metro cinemas at Hydepark Johannesburg and Durban, towards the end of June. Here’s is to a great 2010 for all parties involved in production. With SA hosting the soccer world cup in June and indications that the beginning of the end of the recession is on the way, we could be looking forward to a prosperous new year indeed. We do pray however that the SABC would be straightened out and include new local productions again and in doing so provide jobs for fellow South African freelancers and producers alike. Continuing on this note, the noize dept will continue to strive to give our best service in sound, to you our customers in production.
