Magoebaskloof mountains is home to Kuhestan Organic Farm. The farm is situated on the crest of the majestic Magoebaskloof pass, adjacent to the world renowned Woodbush Afro-montaine forests, a haven for exotic birds and the rare & shy Samango monkeys. The Farm was purchased in 2001 and planted with Hass and Fuerte Avocados. In 2004, fifty raspberry bare-root canes were planted, mainly for the kitchen and for the enjoyment of visitors to the farm. These became the catalyst for the production of a full range of preservative-free culinary products. Kuhestan Organic Farm in Magoebaskloof offers studio-style, self-catering accommodation situated in beautiful gardens overlooking the Woodbush Forest. Avocados and raspberries are the fresh produce of Kuhestan Organic Farm. Avocados are supplied, mainly to an organic fruit and veg distributor in Cape Town and the entire raspberry crop is used in the farm factory. Being a major part of the famous Silk Route, its cuisine is rich with combinations of fragrant herbs and spices. Kuhestan Farm Products are based on traditional recipes and, as such, are prepared with absolutely no synthetic ingredients. In addition, the products are free from any preservatives, colourants, and other additives. Our products are made from good, wholesome ingredients; where possible organic and grown on our farm. The Kuhestan Farm Products range includes cordials, preserves & toppings, pickles & vinaigrette.
