CHOC's core business is to support children with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders and their families.Over 36 years CHOC's holistic approach has developed to meet the practical and psychosocial needs of children and their families. SANBS is a non-profit organisation; therefore, ownership of its assets does not vest in its members. In the event that SANBS should stop operating, its assets would have to be transferred to an organisation with similar goals and objectives. The mission of Rainbows and Smiles is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child (or children) of that family is diagnosed with cancer. The South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) is in desperate need of donors from all ethnic groups and mixed ethnic backgrounds.Without financial support the work of the SABMR would come to a complete halt. In 2002 Milly noticed that many children were been left unattended and alone due to their mothers dying of AIDS related diseases because of anti-retroviral medication (ARV) not being available. It was at this time that the need arose for an orphanage and safe house. It is a compelling blend of business-like convenience and efficiency, along with a relaxed and warm country hospitality atmosphere. Indaba Hotel has partnered with Chakela Hotels & Lyoness to bring you a reward program that is simple. No reward benefits will be earned if you cancel your booking prior to staying at the hotel. Guests would arrive on horse back and hitch their horses under a tree whilst enjoying an ice cold beer or welcomed gin and tonic accompanied by a delicious luncheon. She lived next to the Indaba Hotel and continued to support it for many years until her passing in Thereafter the land and the hotel were sold to Barclays Bank. In 1989, as a result of sanctions, Barclays Bank was forced to pull out and leave the country. The Hotel then went into liquidation and in 2002 it was bought by African Procurement Agencies. In addition a joint venture was born and the well-known Mowana Spa was opened on the Indaba Hotel property. The Hotel continues to grow from strength to strength and will soon sport a brand new hotel called the Indaba Lodge, with an additional 170 hotel bedrooms.
