Hugs & Kisses is registered as a Close Corporation with its members being Sue and Steve Liebenberg. Sue qualified as a Grade 1 teacher, and taught at Rivonia Primary School. With the birth of her children, she opened a small playschool at her house, which she ran for seven years. In 1993 Steve and Sue bought the property at 11 Mirwani Road, in Sunninghill Gardens, and converted the house into an up-market daycare facility. With over 24 years experience in the child care and nursery school environment, we give you peace of mind that your child’s wellbeing and development is being expertly taken care of. Established in 1993, Hugs & Kisses is a daycare and nursery school caring for children from three months through to the year in which they turn five (Grade 00). To cater for working parents, we do not close for school holidays during the year, only closing for three weeks over the December-January period. The certifications cover all aspects of health and safety, including childcare activities, food preparation, fire protection and a daily refuse removal service for soiled disposable nappies. We would also like to highlight our appreciation to you and your staff for all the love and care given to our kids over the years. It has always been a home away from home, for the kids. We have never had a day’s problem with any of the staff and they have all been wonderful to both our boys. Our family will always remember you all, and will take all the great memories created at Hugs & Kisses with us for our whole life. Miles has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Hugs & Kisses since the age of 9 months. Adrian and I, as well as Miles, will miss Hugs & Kisses terribly, and I’m so sad that he won’t be finishing off in Dorothy’s Owls class next year. Hugs & Kisses is divided into five groups, split according to the developmental age of the children. The number of children in the different groups will vary from time to time, as children progress to the next developmental level. Hugs & Kisses caters for the working parent, creating a home from home environment so that you can rest assured that your child is in capable and caring hands. Provide breakfast, lunch and a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack. Open all year round, only closing over the December-January period. The Sunninghill Hospital is two minutes away from Hugs & Kisses, with its fully equipped casualty section.
