EFFCO was created in answer to a growing demand for suitable asset backed financing solutions to SMEs in selected countries in the Southern Africa region.
EFFCO commenced operations in 2007 as an asset backed financing firm whose predominant activities and operations in Southern Africa entail availing access to suitable credit facilities to local companies aiming to expand their business relationship with large corporations in the mining, telecommunications, energy and construction sectors.

EFFCO is a subsidiary of the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund (SAEDF) and was formed pursuant to SAEDF's distinct interest in developing leasing and other asset backed financing solutions for small and medium size entities. The company's salient objective is to structure and avail financing packages that bridge the business relationship between small and medium size enterprises and large corporations predominantly involved in the mining, telecommunications, construction, petroleum and transportation sectors.
