Guy is a seasoned insurance professional with a career spanning over 30 years, including extensive global insurance market interaction. His diverse qualifications include being an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), ACII, as well as a qualified Chartered Insurance Practitioner and an Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (AIISA). After a 7 year grounding in the claims environment he joined M.I.B Group in 1988 as a broker consultant. Guy ultimately held the positions of CEO of Aon Risk Solutions and Board Director of Aon South Africa, where he spent some 18 years. Guy has over the years served on various industry bodies including the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) and the SA Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (SANEC). Matthew is a chartered accountant having completed his studies at the University of Johannesburg (previously RAU) and serving his articles at KPMG. He is a strategic thinker and joint founding member of Cyan Capital and a Non-Executive Director at Econorisk. His areas of expertise include corporate finance, leveraged acquisitions, management buy outs, financial modelling, strategy, business and people management. He serves as Cyan’s Managing Director and holds board seats on the majority of Cyan’s subsidiaries and associates. Andrew has over 18 years experience in the insurance industry and has managed across all areas of insurance. After fulfilling the role of COO at CIB Insurance Administrators, Andrew moved to Cyan Capital as a Director and oversees insurance operations of Cyan and its subsidiaries, adding both technical and operational value to our business. Working closely with our partners, Andrew is able to provide specialist advice and assistance, and where necessary implement changes so as to increase their operational efficiencies and drive value for all stakeholders. Andrew is a managing executive at Cyan and holds board seats on the majority of Cyan’s subsidiaries and associates. Brett started his broking career with Campbell & Associates in 1991, taking a regional management role while developing his career in domestic and international cricket. He moved to the Campbell & Associates head office in 1996 before becoming an entrepreneur in Cape Town’s entertainment and tourism industry. Brett joined the Econorisk Group in 2003 as a joint venture opportunity and with the establishment of Econorisk Broker Consultants (Pty) Ltd he was appointed as a Director in George joined New Zealand Insurance Co SA in 1972 as a commercial clerk before moving into broking as a Junior Accounts Executive in 1974 with Syfrets UAL Insurance Brokers. He was sent to London in 1976 with their London associates (Leslie & Godwin) and gained two years working experience there with the Lloyds market. Following the takeover by PFV in 1987 of Alexander & Alexander, George decided to join a small broker with an equity holding and over the next 20 years built GIB Insurance Brokers into the largest independent broker in the country.
