CSS Tactical began as a community initiative that was effective beyond the expectations of the founding community. Part of the success of the initiative was a clear understanding of South African security conditions through the eyes of South Africans. Another factor was the successful integration from the outset, of technology and manpower. Three of the most critical yet basic security principles we always apply are DETECT, REACT and DEFLECT. To this end we will have high visibility resources permanently based in areas we service with dramatically reduced armed response times. The ability to DEFLECT crime away from areas we service. We achieve this simply by the intimidating presence of high visibility vehicles, vigilance and through intervention when suspicious activities are noticed. If we are to succeed in crafting a successful security solution in any business development, residential area or individual home, it needs to be clearly understood that to be 100% secure is simply not possible or affordable. What should be strived for is a scalable and truly cost-effective solution that effectively reduces security risks to levels that are acceptable to the community and at the same time can be adapted easily should the level of threat escalate. We are passionate about people and their protection. Our aim is to create real community awareness and to become part of that family. It’s much more than simply providing a security service. The team will perform a full technical and camera feasibility assessment before implementing CCTV within an area. The CCTV is monitored at an off-site location in real time using i-Sentry technology. This control room also provides a safe and secure environment in which the footage is recorded and stored. Our aim at CSS Tactical is to prevent incidents from occurring before they occur rather than assessing the footage afterwards.
