Baobab Montessori is set in a peaceful, safe and caring environment where children are able to grow and develop through love and respect. Children staying full day will be provided with a hot lunch and afternoon fruit snack. Montessori school’s day programmes are not as regimented and are very flexible so as to vary with the day-to-day temperaments of the children. She is to care for the children’s environment as it is in the environment in which children become secure with themselves and are the most content. Caren is Co-Owner of the school and is a Directress in the 3-6 environment. Caren has always had a passion for working with children and has always dreamed of opening her own preschool. Caren studied through the Montessori Academy and with her dedication and hard work as well as with the help of her co-owner, has managed to make her dream become a reality in opening Baobab Montessori. Jessica is Co-Owner of the school and is a Directress in the 3-6 environment. Jessica’s love for children and keen interest in their development moved her to pursue a career in Montessori teaching. With over 10 years’ involvement in child-care Jessica has gained valuable teaching experience and was privileged to fulfil her dream of opening up her own Montessori preschool, along with her co-owner. Her other qualifications include a BA Honours degree in psychology from WITS. Melissa is a caring, nurturing teacher which shows in her approach with the children who are entrusted in her care. Megan started her work career in the fitness sector and after coaching children aged 3 to 6 she discovered her passion for children and wanted to make a difference in their lives through teaching. Originally from Zimbabwe Megan got married and moved to South Africa to be with her husband and focus on creating a difference in the children she surrounds herself with. Winnie is the teacher’s assistant in the 3-6 environment. Jessica is our toddler directress focusing on the development of children between the ages of 18 months to 2 and a half years old. Jessica completed her Montessori diploma in 2012 through the International Montessori Centre and has been teaching ever since. Her passion for children and teaching started at a young age and is something that she is looking forward to doing for many years to come. Jennifer is the teaching assistant in the toddler environment. With her loving spirit and hard work she has helped turn the toddler class into a caring, nurturing environment where the children thrive. Winnie is an assistant in the toddler environment and assists with cleaning. She is always smiling and shares her happiness with the children daily. Rose is happily married and assists her husband run his business. Keyson is the school groundsman and handles the day to day maintenance of the school.
