Janet Stothard has been in the Hospitality Industry for over 28 years. She gained her experience and knowledge by working at various companies in Johannesburg, then moving to New York and later to Europe. Janet is experienced in hotel reservations and housekeeping, restaurant front and kitchen, bar control and stock, banqueting, eventing and decor. Back in Johannesburg, Janet settled in at Wanderers Golf Club, as Events Manager, where her knowledge grew extensively during her 18 year employment and eventually giving her enough confidence and experience to form her own Events company, registered as Janet Stothard and Associates, but now trading as JS Events. The name change came about due to ease of reference for her Clients and Suppliers. Adding to her portfolio, due to her food and beverage background, Janet owned a coffee shop for two years, but later sold it up due to more demanding work challenges. Janet and her professional team have combined expertise in all corporate and private event organizing, decor, flower arrangements, equipment hiring, catering, audio/ lighting and sound, promotional work, plus many more skills.
